How much weight should I put on in pregnancy?
Most expectant ladies put on between 10kg and 12.5kg equivalent to 22lb to 26lb. Most of this weight will be gained throughout your second trimester after the 20 week mark. Weight gain is mostly your baby growing but your body will store fat during your pregnancy ready to make breast milk for when your baby is delivered.
Remember to eat a good healthy balanced diet to maintain a healthy weight gain and stay hydrated; It is recommend to drink 2 litres of water per day.
